August 2017 sees the latest relaunch of my site, with a great new theme designed by Andrew, and hosted by Digital Ocean. The domain was originally bought as a Christmas present by my sister.

I hope you enjoy some photos from our trips and holidays over the years……

My choice of cameras is still influenced by the Bonnington expedition to the SW face of Everest of 1976, where they used Olympus OM cameras, and I fell in love with the idea of taking one up a mountain. My current weapon of choice is an Olympus OM-D M10ii with the 12-40 Pro, 14-42EZ and 75-300 lenses. Skiing and high altitude mountaineering shots are from the indestructible Olympus Tough TG-4. Since moving digital in 2008, I’ve used a range of Olympus four thirds cameras, including a Pen EP1, PM1 and E510. Some action shots were taken with a Gopro DH Hero 2. Back in the good old days of film, I used a range of cameras including an Olympus XA and AF1, although I occasionally strayed with a Leica Minilux, Praktica BC1 (with Zeiss and Schneider lenses), Canon Z115 and Ricoh GR1. Slides and negatives were scanned using a Nikon Coolscan.
